Feels Like Friday

J does not have school tomorrow and on the next day to celebrate Chinese New Year. I guess it is one of the perks in going to a Chinese school. Thus, and as a reward for his obedience, we went to Market! Market!

Despite the heat of the sun, he really enjoyed his time in the ginormous playground. He had a bad fall on his first try in the tall slide. But, being a kid and wanting to play unceasingly, he assured us that he was okay. Yet, on the succeeding slides, he made sure I was on the other end ready to catch him anytime.

His driving skill has also improved. The car was the slowest moving toy I have ever seen. It is good though for the safety of its riders which are kids like my son.*Smiley face*

Our last stop was Time Zone where he showed off his shooting prowess. And he also played Deal or No Deal where he got 100 tickets! (which was divided by two, as stated in the placard)

What a tiring and yet fulfilling day!

Glass Door

One afternoon last year, Roni picked up J from school. When they were walking along the hallway, the door to the library suddenly opened knocking J off. J wailed painfully. The door was made of metal with a rectangular glass at the top. Surely, the students or parents going out of the library would not see any preschoolers or primary students in the hallway. So, now, the library doors are made of glass.

Good job school! Although I wish you had thought of that before my son's accident. However, it is never too late to correct a mistake.

Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was full of activities.

We woke up early to bring J to his Sunday school. It is difficult to bring J to Sunday school at church because he does not warm up so easily to new things or strangers close to his age. So, we decided to try the Sunday school at his preschool. He cried during his first attendance despite the familiar surroundings. *Sigh* Anyway, since his Nanay and Tatay were both present for support, he was participative yesterday during Sunday school. Praise God.

Then we went to church. Just the 3 of us. We did not bring R because she is just an infant and might be fussy during the service. I was really blessed by the sermon, especially since I need to stay strong.

Afterward, we went home to pick up R and the rest of the family to have a lunch get-together to celebrate Roni's birthday. Roni, by the way, is my one and only husband. *Please imagine me smiling and giggling while saying it*  And these are what we had:

The Legend Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant served their usual sumptuous meal. There was a birthday celebration in the main area, so we were given a VIP room. We had a private room without the worries of consumable cover charge. God is really good!

We went to Serendra to have desserts at Gelatissimo. I had Chocolate with Truffle while Roni had Mocha Nutty Crunch. Pure bliss!

While we were licking our ice creams, J was sulking because he wanted to go to the toy store at Bonifacio High Street but we told him to wait.

Anyway, happy birthday Roni! God bless! Mwah!

My Son's Five Love Languages

I have a preschooler son who demonstrates his love for me through the following actions:

1. Brings me flowers. He would pick a flower from our neighbor's plant to give it to me. Our next-door friend could only smile at my son's gesture.

2. Sleeps beside me. We are a tight family. We co-sleep. When our infant was born, father and son were supposed to sleep at the cot beside our bed, and infant daughter and I were to sleep on the bed. But my son would wake up in the middle of the night, then climb on the bed to sleep beside me.

3. Talks to my photo whenever I am not around. I am not kidding! My sitter would tell me that whenever I am not around at the end of my son's nap, he would cry for me and get my picture to talk as if I were present.

4. Kisses and hugs me at any time. He does these all the time.

5.Gives me presents.  These presents are my things which he would wrap in something and then would enthusiastically exclaim, "I have a present for you!"  oh well. It's the thought that counts.

How about you? How do your loved ones express their affections?
